There is a new predator stalking the oceans of hip-hop and you'd be wise to beware. Shark MC, formerly known as Sharky the Great White, is about to take this planet by storm with "BEASTMODE", the highly anticipated follow up to 2006's "Fish Tanked", 2003's "Selacophobia" and his 1999 debut album, "Treacherous Waters". BEASTMODE is a collaboration between Shark MC and New Industry Canada's multi-talented producer Rugged One from London, Ontario.
The project is the product of their mutual disdain for the current state of hip-hop and is an effort to bring the "beats and rhymes" back to the game. BEASTMODE at it's core is an ode to battle rap and old-school Boom Bap... no gimmicks allowed. Sharks' love of hip-hop began to take roots while he was in high school when he hooked up with long-time friend and producer Knowitall, who is responsible for most of the production on albums 2 and 3. In 1997 he joined forces with the legendary BeatDown Productions crew out of K-W and the rest is history. Over the past decade Shark has performed with the likes of Nas, Jim Jones, Obie Trice, The Sporty Thieves, Slum Village, Skitz, Saukrates, Rahzel and Ghetto Concept. The future is now...and the future is in BEASTMODE!
